The project aims to provide access to affordable and clean burning energy efficient cook stoves to households in four East African countries, including the development of a Clean Development Mechanism Programme of Activities.
The overall objective of the Green Guarantee Facility is to promote green growth and climate resilient development in African economies by catalyzing bank lending to SMEs for projects and investments linked to climate change adaptation and mitigation.

The specific objectives for the overall project are: i) to improve the level of transport service on the upgraded section and the local population’s living conditions; and ii) build the road maintenance planning and programming capacities of the road administration. The NDF component will increase the capacity of road transport stakeholders in Rwanda to integrate consideration of climate change and disasters into the transport life-cycle, in particular for roads and bridges.

The project’s specific objectives are to improve household incomes, food security and climate resilience through development of agricultural infrastructure, specifically, 5 new small and medium scale irrigation schemes and related civil works, packaged with agribusiness development and integrated sustainable natural resources management.
The project will implement a Waste Transfer and Recycling Centre in Beira and formulate a Nationally Appropriate Mitigation Actions programme (NAMA) in the waste sector in Mozambique Mozambique
