The objective of the programme is to support the efforts to reduce poverty by promoting access to sustainable electricity services, to increase the energy efficiency and the share of renewable energy sources.
The main objective of the programme is to scale up energy efficiency measures and investments in SMEs through awareness-raising, capacity-building and financial support.
The project aims to reduce the rural populations’ vulnerability to natural disasters and increase resilience of communities and watersheds to climate change impacts through planned adaptation measures.
The overall objective is to increase the capacity of indigenous peoples and afro-descendants groups to tackle climate change, secure civil society monitoring of climate change obligations, and provide renewable energy solutions to local communities.
